The setting: On April 13th, I came home from work to find T very willing to pass Aubrey on to me after spending the better part of the last hour helping her walk around the house. I then spent the better part of 30 minutes helping her walk around the house. Aubrey showed no signs of tiring...
The moment: An opportunistic break, Aubrey rests against a chair in our office. I back away. Aubrey fusses, stretching her little hand out towards mine, yet keeping one hand on the chair. She's stuck...
The feat: ...but not for long. With surprisingly little hesitation, Aubrey lets go of the chair and takes 1...2...3...4 steps(!) to my outstreched hands. Luckily, both T and I were there to witness it.
The repeat: Stay tuned. Like scotch or sipping tequila, Aubrey seems to think that unassisted walking should be enjoyed infrequently and in moderation. We'll try to get some video up soon.
