Happy Birthday Aubrey!
It's seems like forever and just yesterday that we celebrated Aubrey's birth day. On that day, I could only marvel at how beautiful, small, and fragile she was, and how completely scared I was to think of the awesome responsibility we had before us. Now, 1 year later, I look at the beautiful person Aubrey is becoming - strong, inquisitive, and full of love - and I think how much of that responsibility I felt on her birth day really fell to T. So, while it's Aubrey's birthday today I really want to express my gratitude to T. It's T's strength and love I see in Aubrey. Thanks, T, for helping Aubrey become everything that she is today.

One of those days...
I think this video does a really good job of capturing Aubrey at her best. As I've said before, she's all go all the time. That's not to say she's all brawn and no brains, though. In this video, stuck within the confines of our driveway, she does her best to get a good run behind her scooter. Obstacles abound and the scooter is pretty tricky to turn around, too. She perseveres, though, and finds freedom in the final few seconds...until she runs out of driveway.

Making Trouble
Aubrey is all go all the time. Sometimes its all we can do just to keep up with her. Exhibit A, picking up trash at the local park:
What? It's the environmentally responsible thing to do even if it is yucky.
Exhibit B, playing with the camera:
I know you told me not to play with this, but it's not really my fault. You left it where I could reach it, so why did you expect me to leave it alone?
